Q. What happens during the consultation?
A. Your local Pet Care Specialist will visit you and your pets at your home to get to know one another. The meeting typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, during which time your Specialist will learn of your needs and develop a customized Pet Care Plan, review the Service Agreement, pick up 2 sets of house keys and pet health records, as well as payment for your service request.  For more details, please visit Getting Started.  [back to top]

Q. How often are consults and filling out forms required?
A. The only time you will need another consultation is if you should change residence, your pet’s care changes (i.e.: requires medical or other special attention), or we need to get acquainted with a new addition to your pet family.  [back to top]

Q. Once I am a client, how do I schedule service?
A. Call us at 919.720.4156 or use the Request Service link to schedule your pet care visit. You will receive an email and/or phone call to confirm your reservation. Reservations are not guaranteed until this is received.  [back to top]

Q. How can we be kept informed of our pet while gone?
A. We understand how important it is to have peace of mind that your kids are doing well. As part of our service, we provide our clients with emails or voicemails upon request. Just let us know your preference and frequency you wish to receive these. You are also welcome to call us for updates. [back to top]

Q. Can I trust Bone·A·Fide Pet Care?
A. All sitters are screened prior to employment, and bonded and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. We value the trust you place in us, and do not share your information with anyone outside of the Company. Client files are kept secure in our office, and keys are coded anonymously and locked away separate from client information.  [back to top]

Q. What does bonded and insured mean?
A. We are covered by a dishonesty bond that reimburses you in the unlikely event anything is stolen from your home while it is in our sole care.

In addition, because we are a professional pet care provider, we are covered by a liability insurance policy that protects you from monetary loss in the unlikely event we are responsible for any accidents that occur while caring for your pets.   [back to top]

Q. Can I book last-moment service?
A. We always try to accommodate our clients needs, even with short notice, but we can not guarantee service as we may be booked up on the dates/times requested, particularly over major holidays.  [back to top]

Q. Can I share pet sitting duties?
A. Unfortunately due to liability issues, we are not able to accommodate this request.  [back to top]

Q. What can I expect when I return home?
A. A very cheerful greeting from your happy and healthy pets, as well as your home just as you left it – everything in its proper place. Also, your Pet Care Specialist will leave a Daily Log, detailing how everything went in your absence, as well as a reminder to please give us a call to let us know you’ve returned. We ask our clients to do this so we can make sure no pet is left uncared for.  [back to top]

Q. How do I get started?
A. Call us at 919.720.4156, email us or visit the Request Service page to schedule your personal Pet Care Consultation. For more information visit Getting Started.  [back to top]
